The building was lovely. La Belle Epoque, where you can eat, is just a walk down to the hotel.

Great place for couples looking for charm
The reception staff was very helpful, they gave us tickets for the funicular and even offered towels and bath robes for our trip. The room was spacious and felt luxurious, and honestly, it was fantastic waking up to view gardens right outside our window.
It wasn't cheap, but you know what, it was still acceptable, considering the experience we had.

A really very nice hotel. Very centrally located in downtown spa. A large house built in 1912, which was turned into a hotel. It was all very quiet and one felt absolutely comfortable. I can't think of anything I've noticed that's negative. I also found the breakfast excellent. Fresh bread and otherwise also absolutely high-quality. I don't need a choice of 20 different breads, I only need two or three and they were there. So everything's great. I'd come back anytime.

The hotel was impersonal and the breakfast did not correspond to a 4 star hotel.

The Villa captivated me with its grandeur and charming historic ambiance. My room had high ceilings and a lovely view of the beautifully maintained gardens. It felt spacious and luxurious. Breakfast featured good local products, although the selection could be better. Not much variety compared to bigger hotels. I appreciated the on-site parking, secure and convenient. A pleasant surprise was the proximity to local attractions. The bathroom in my room was small and the shower felt cramped. Noise from the surrounding rooms interrupted my relaxation at times. The reception staff were helpful, but the reception area wasn't always staffed. Despite these issues, the Villa offers a unique and enjoyable experience that I would consider revisiting in the future.

Lovely gardens outside our luxurious room. Shower was annoyingly small, though.

although it is a best western hotel, this one is slightly different in that it is like a small chateau and has all the charm of a chateau but with first class up-to-date rooms. Another plus was free parking in the hotel grounds - a real plus as you are in the centre of town
No problems at all with the hotel, but Spa town is suffering a downturn at the moment and looks a little sad - with lots of shops closed up - nothing like the town we visited for the first time 10 years ago.
